Photobucket I knew that will get your attention.  This is how the story goes:  In the midst of the craziness that was Fashion Week, I received a lovely email from An Affair with Fashion, letting me know she had done a post on me (*blush*) titled “Makeup Reviews, Tutorials and My Match Made in Bloggosphere“.  I cannot tell you how much it made me smile, and it made me feel so thankful of the people I have been able to meet (albeit virtually) since starting this journey on my beloved Brunette and Pink.

An Affair with Fashion and I started communicating a few months ago.  She had found my blog (OMG! SO EXCITED!), and she sent me this email:

Dear Tamara,

I love your blog!  Happy new year and best wishes for 2010 and with the new blogging venture.

I have started a new blog called An Affair With Fashion. It’s mostly for Australian women enjoying that little indulgence into fashion. But it will also include many things under fashion – brand names, ethical fashion, op shopping, makeup, fashionable interiors, photos etc etc.

I was wondering if I could have permission to use photos from your website on my blog? I am a bit believer in copyright and attributing images to their owners. I have a strict policy of always asking a blogger or company before I use their images. I would link to your blog in the text and in the photos themselves.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Take care,

An Affair With Fashion

I mean for starters, someone from AUSTRALIA had found my blog – seriously?!  Second, she loved Brunette and Pink, and third, she was so professional about reaching out to me.  Through emails back and forth, we started chatting and communicating and asking each other advise about blogging since we were both new to this.  ”How many posts are you doing per day?”  ”What do you do when you have writers block?”  ”What platform do you use for your blog?”  And of course we talked makeup!  I felt so flattered when she asked me advice on foundation, AND with this she gave me an idea for another post that hopefully I will put up next week.

I am so thankful and excited that An Affair With Fashion and I have become blog friends!  She is on my list of Top People I want to meet.  I am crossing my fingers this comes true!

Check out An Affair with Fashion to indulge in the pleasure!  You can fan her on Facebook too!  And while you’re there, FAN ME TOO! :)
